We are committed to serving our youngest members by providing a safe and loving environment for them to experience the love and grace of Jesus. To adapt a familiar saying, we believe “it takes a church to raise a Christian” and take seriously our partnership with parents to nurture a child’s growth. The goal of our Children’s Ministry is to help come alongside parents in preparing their children for worship through age-appropriate activities. We know that from birth, the love and care children receive will have a profound impact on their relationship and understanding of our loving God.
To lead all children to be fully devoted followers of Christ. Vision: Invite all kids to know Christ in a way that transforms their daily lives and the lives of those around them.
We believe that God’s word is foundational truth, and it is our desire to train every child to use it as their guide, authority and conscience in everything.
We believe that life-change happens best in the context of relationships. Gifted, godly, and passionate adults who exhibit Christ to children, their families, and each other will show kids how to do the same. We hope this modeling will impact God’s kingdom for generations to come.
We believe that church is for kids and can be FUN. We believe in inspiring kids to greatness by pursuing excellence in our programs and examining everything we do in order to remain biblical, relevant, and effective.
We believe that spiritual growth happens best in an atmosphere of emotional safety, physical security, and sanitary conditions.
We are committed to exceptional standards in these areas.
Nursery and Toddler Room
Our nursery offers a caring introduction to God’s community for infants. Childcare is offered each Sunday from 10:25AM until 12:00PM. The children are divided into two separate classrooms: the nursery serves children from birth to approximately 16 months, while the toddler room serves children from approximately 16 months to 24 months.
2-3 Year-Old’s Room
The 2/3’s room offers our young children an opportunity to engage in free play, paint, and play dough along with a snack and short Bible story during the course of the service. This room serves our children from the time they turn 2 until the fall of their 3rd year, at which time they’ll enter Children’s Church.
We want to provide an environment where parents and caregivers of young children will feel comfortable leaving their little ones for a brief time during our worship service. When you drop your child off, please first check him or her in at the Welcome Table. Your child will receive a name tag. Children should wear their name tags while in their rooms. Please also label all your child’s belongings, and communicate any special instructions to the childcare workers.
Children who turned three years old prior to December 2013 through third grade may head to the worship service with their parents. Part way through the service, they will be dismissed to go downstairs for Children’s Church, where they enjoy time in an age-specific Bible class. This year we are using Gospel Light curriculum. After the sermon children are brought back to their parents in the sanctuary.
